The BHCCT strongly believes in giving back to our community. With some of the funds we raised in 2014, we helped three childcare organisations. The first organisation is called Kids Kingdom, they are a chreche which looks after very poor kids. They recieve no funding and rely only on donations. The children had no where to play when we visited it, and were sleeping in black bags on the floor in order to stay dry on rainy days. The BHCCT donated a washing machine in order to make sure that babies in nappies would have clean nappies and clothing daily. The BHCCT also donated a playground to make sure these children would always have something to play with. The second organisation we helped was the House of Hope. It is a shack in a township which looks after abandoned children and gives them a place to stay and a plate of food. When the BHCCT found this organisation, there was only one bed which was shared by 14 children and the children used to share one small bowl of rice beween 4 children. The BHCCT organised and donated 12 matteresses, bedding, pillows, clothing, shoes, food an a second hand fridge in order to make sure these children would be more comfortable. The third organisation the BHCCT helped was an orphanage with mentally and physically disabled children, named Mama Lumka. A christmas party was held for the children where each child recieved new clothing, new shoes and a toy. They were treated to lunch and ice cream and a day where they were spoit. This organisation again has no goverment help. Please see below some of the pictures taken during these events.

Below are some of the photos taken at our first Durga Puja event in Cape Town 2014. The BHCCT strongly encorages all members and thier families to take part in this event, and were suprised by how many people attended and how special this event was!
